Needs
Resistance bands

Setup

Stand on the middle of a band with feet hip-width apart. Hold an end in each hand at your shoulders.

Steps

  1. Tighten your stomach.
  2. Push your hands straight up until your arms are straight.
  3. Lower them slowly to your shoulders.

Breathing

Breathe in as you lower. Breathe out as you push.

Where you feel it

In your shoulders and the back of your upper arms.

Common mistakes

  • Arching the lower back.
  • Letting the band slip from under the feet.

When to stop

Stop if you feel sharp pain, pain in a joint, dizziness or numbness.

Check the band for cracks before you start.
