Setup
Stand with feet shoulder-width apart on a floor that does not slip.
Steps
- Squat down until your thighs are about level with the floor.
- Jump straight up.
- Land softly on the front of your feet, then your heels.
- Go straight into the next squat.
Breathing
Breathe as fast as you need to. Slow down if you cannot catch your breath between efforts.
Where you feel it
In your thighs, buttocks and calves.
Common mistakes
- Landing with straight legs.
- Letting the knees fall inward on landing.
When to stop
Stop if you feel sharp pain, pain in a joint, dizziness or numbness.
Stop if your knees or ankles ache on landing.
