Setup
Use a staircase with a handrail. Hold it if you need to.
Steps
- Put your whole foot on each step.
- Push through the heel to climb.
- Walk down slowly, holding the rail.
- Keep going for the time you chose.
Breathing
Breathe in a steady rhythm. At an easy pace you can still say a short sentence.
Where you feel it
In your buttocks, thighs and breathing.
Common mistakes
- Climbing on the toes only.
- Rushing down.
When to stop
Stop if you feel sharp pain, pain in a joint, dizziness or numbness.
