Wall slide

Setup
Stand with your back against a wall, feet a small step away from it. Put your head, upper back and buttocks against the wall. Raise your arms in a W, backs of the hands toward the wall.
Steps
- Slide your arms up the wall as far as you can while they stay close to it.
- Slide them back down to the W.
- Keep your lower back from arching away from the wall.
Breathing
Breathe out as you move. Breathe in as you come back.
Where you feel it
Between your shoulder blades and across the front of your chest.
Common mistakes
- Arching the lower back to reach higher.
- Letting the head come off the wall.
When to stop
Stop if you feel sharp pain, pain in a joint, dizziness or numbness.
