- Front of the trunk · rectus abdominis
- Front of the hip · iliopsoas and rectus femoris

- Pull-up bar
Setup
Hang from a pull-up bar with straight arms and straight legs.
Steps
- Lift your straight legs until they are level with the floor, or higher.
- Lower slowly without swinging.
Breathing
Breathe out as you curl up. Breathe in as you lower.
Where you feel it
In your stomach and the front of your hips.
Common mistakes
- Swinging to get the legs up.
- Bending the knees at the top only.
When to stop
Stop if you feel sharp pain, pain in a joint, dizziness or numbness.
