Setup

Sit tall near the front of a sturdy chair with your feet flat.

Steps

  1. Lift one knee a few centimetres, then put the foot down.
  2. Lift the other knee.
  3. Keep a steady rhythm and swing your arms. Each lift counts as one rep.

Breathing

Breathe in a steady rhythm. At an easy pace you can still say a short sentence.

Where you feel it

In the front of your hips, and warmth in your legs.

Common mistakes

  • Leaning back to lift the knee.
  • Holding the breath.

When to stop

Stop if you feel sharp pain, pain in a joint, dizziness or numbness.
